Zeroconf/Bonjour

I absolutely love Zeroconf/Bonjour, except when it doesn't work properly. (I am looking at you Mac OSX 10.5.)

Sometimes when I reboot one of the machines on my network Bonjour won't update the ip address for that machine. Previously I would just switch over to using the ip address or reboot the mac that I was using. Today I learned how to just reboot the Bonjour service.

sudo launchctl unload /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mDNSResponder.plist

sudo launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.mDNSResponder.plist
